A Rainbow for My Daddy is a book about a young girl dealing with the death of her dad and the many emotions and challenges she is now faced with. Through conversations with her mom, she learns how her daddy's body "broke" and his soul went to Heaven. Feeling confused, angry, sad and lonely she is reassured these are normal emotions and she is not alone in her grief. Through further dialog she realizes there are ways to deal with these new emotions that can help with the grieving process. Conversations of hope and laughter ensue giving her insight that although her life has changed, there will be happy days. The book was written in rhyming form easy for young listeners to follow along. The book also includes a reference page of informative websites offering counseling, self help adult literature titles, phone numbers worldwide for more support and a section for journaling and drawing daily feelings. This moving keepsake will guide readers through the difficult subject of explaining death to a child, the many emotions of the grieving process, and how important it is in the healing process to enjoy life once again.

Tiffany Correa Castro, author of a Rainbow for My Daddy, a children's bereavement book, was born and raised in San Jose, California. A Rainbow for My Daddy was inspired by the sudden, tragic, and life-altering death of her husband. With a toddler and another baby on the way, she found her strength and resiliency in her family, friends, and faith. Mrs. Correa Castro received her Bachelor's degree in Spanish, with a minor in Portuguese, from San Diego State University and is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. She has made a life long career as a New York-and San Francisco-based flight attendant for a major airline. When she's not out flying the friendly skies, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, jogging, skiing, traveling, and learning foreign languages. She currently resides in Idaho with her two daughters, husband, the family chihuahua Leila, and Maximillian the chameleon.
