Ed Don George
Like the boxer Jack Dempsey, Ed Don George, the wrestler, was also called upon to be a hand-to-hand combat instructor during the 2nd World War. In Ed Don George's case it was for the U.S. Navy Pre-Flight School at the University of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Through a series of articles which he wrote on the subject as well as accompanying photographs, this book attempts to reintroduce the man and his patriotic efforts to assist in the preparation of the young cadets of the Navy Pre-Flight school for that conflict.

My Brother, Muhammad Ali
"Rahaman has, at last, written the definitive biography on his late brother, which tells the real Ali story." --Mike Tyson More words have been written about Muhammad Ali than almost anyone else. He was, without doubt, the world's most-loved sportsman. At the height of his celebrity he was the most famous person in the world. And yet, until now, the one voice missing belonged to the man who knew him best--his only sibling, and best friend, Rahaman Ali. No one was closer to Ali than Rahaman. Born Cassius and Rudolph Arnett Clay, the two brothers grew up together, lived together, trained together, travelled together, and fought together in the street and in the ring. A near-constant fixture in his sibling's company, Rahaman saw Ali at both his best and his worst: the relentless prankster and the jealous older brother, the outspoken advocate, the husband and father. In My Brother, Muhammad Ali, Rahaman offers an insider's perspective on the well-known stories as well as never-before-told tales, painting a rich and intimate portrait of a proud, relentlessly polarizing, yet often vulnerable man. In this extraordinary, poignant memoir, Rahaman tells a much bigger and more personal story than in any other book on Muhammad Ali--that of two brothers, almost inseparable from birth to death. It is the final and most important perspective on an iconic figure.

Tough Street
Gerald Grant Leeman emerged from a life of poverty and addiction to become one of the greatest wrestlers and most beloved coaches in American history. Nicknamed "Germ" due to his small stature, Gerald and his nine siblings lived hardscrabble childhoods, but their Osage, Iowa, roots grew deep and served them well. In Germ’s case, those humble beginnings taught lessons that led to three state high school wrestling titles; serving as a Naval carrier pilot; an NCAA championship during which he was named Most Outstanding Wrestler; an Olympic silver medal; and a storied coaching career at Lehigh University. The son of an alcoholic father, Gerald battled the disease later in life with grace and dignity, and became a glowing example of the power of recovery and redemption. Tough Street illuminates Germ’s expansive impact on his siblings, teammates, children, and, most poignantly, his wrestlers at Lehigh, where famed Grace Hall’s arena bears his name. Gerald Leeman lived the American Dream.• "God gave Gerald Leeman abilities no one else could have. Leeman was an artist in our sport. It’s difficult to describe unless you saw him. He is the greatest wrestler I ever saw, and I’ve seen them all." – Bill Nelson, three-time NCAA champion and 1948 Olympian• "The thing about Gerry is you could surround him with chief executives of any company, politicians from all over the world, with farmers or Indian chiefs, and he would soon be ruling the room. He had that presence, that aura." – Kirk Pendleton, 1963 NCAA champion• "Gerry Leeman was a legend who absolutely loved the sport. Going into Grace Hall — The Snake Pit — for a dual, well, Leeman would fill the place up and those partisans would pound their feet on the metal bleachers. The noise was so intimidating." – Donald Rumsfeld, former Princeton wrestling team captain and United States Secretary of Defense• "Gerald Leeman was so much more than our coach. He was a molder of men, an educator who used the lessons of strife on the mat to form foundation in his boys, enabling them to achieve fame, fortune and esteem in their lives. This is his legacy." – Mike Caruso, three-time NCAA champion

So Far Out That He's in
For thirty-three years Robert Curley worked as a reporter and photographer for newspapers in Rome, Oneida, and Syracuse, New York. In this colorful memoir he vividly recounts the many remarkable events and personal encounters of his long career and rich family life. Through a series of imaginary dialogues with his alter ego "Win," Curley (aka Prof. Quirky) examines the politics, history, and popular culture of the last two decades. There are opinions galore here, plus prognostications and some Irish blarney as well. One might assume that a newspaperman in central New York State would be confined to issues of only regional interest. But in fact Mr. Curley had opportunities to meet and interview several world-class newsmakers, including Robert Kennedy; New York Governors W. Averell Harriman, Nelson Rockefeller, and Hugh Carey; New York City Mayor John Lindsey; Henry Kissinger; Mikhail Gorbachev; and author Alex Haley.Among the highlights of these meetings was a handshake and "photo-op" with Mikhail Gorbachev, Henry Kissinger predicting in an interview that the Soviet Union would collapse, and a gift from Alex Haley of an unpublished chapter from his soon-to-be released biography of Malcolm X.Many more similar episodes of interest fill this work, along with political commentary and much appreciation for his wife of many years and family of six children and numerous grandchildren.
