In diesem französischen Wort liegt der Ursprung dessen, was heute als Interview bezeichnet wird. Es gibt nicht das Interview und so lassen sich verschiedene Definitionen finden. Einstimmigkeit besteht darin, dass ein Interview ein gerichteter Dialog ist, ein Ziel verfolgt und für die Öffentlichkeit bestimmt ist. Solch ein Dialog kann unterschiedliche Formen, Zielsetzungen und Rahmenbedingungen annehmen.Eine ganz spezielle Interviewsituation ergibt sich bei einer Fernseh-Talkshow. Ein Moderator unterhält sich mit mehreren eingeladenen Gästen; die Themen können zum Gast, zentriert auf eine Sache oder eine Verknüpfung von Beidem sein. In jedem Fall aber ist es ein für das Publikum mediengerecht inszeniertes Gespräch, das mehr transportieren kann als den Inhalt bzw. die Information des Dialogs.Diese Arbeit beschränkt sich auf das Format politischer Talkshows. Es liegt die Frage zugrunde, wie weit eine politische Talkshow politische Inhalte vermittelt, also die Gesprächssituation des Interviews im Mittelpunkt steht oder ob sie Politikern zu einer Darstellungsplattform verhilft, auf der sie sich selbst inszenieren und verkaufen können, um die Öffentlichkeit der Zuschauer für ihre Gunst zu gewinnen. Dafür wird die Verfasserin im 2. Kapitel das Wesen politischer Talkshows betrachten. Wie hat sich dieses Format entwickelt und herausgebildet, was sind die Merkmale und wie wird ein Gespräch im Fernsehen inszeniert? Im folgenden Kapitel 3 widmet sich die Arbeit dem Aspekt der Politikvermittlung durch die Medien. Die Vermittlerrolle zur Weitergabe von politischen Informationen wird hier herausgearbeitet sowie speziell die Stellung des Fernsehens als Quelle der Information. Kapitel 4 untersucht die Inszenierung(-smöglichkeiten) der geladenen Politiker. Welchen Regeln folgt ein Auftritt, wie weit spielen die Gäste mit Privatisierung und Personalisierung rund um die politische Information, welche medienspezifischen Visualisierungsmöglichkeiten z.B. durch Kameradramaturgie gibt es? Dieses Kapitel schließt mit einem Blick auf die Rezipienten: Welche parasozialen Beziehungen können Politiker herstellen, was bewirken sie emotional bei den ZuschauernDas Fazit am Ende fasst alle Ergebnisse der Arbeit zusammen und sucht eine Antwort zu finden auf die Frage, welches Ziel das "Entreview" in politischen Talkshows verfolgt: "Bühne frei für moderne Politikvermittlung oder Politikerinszenierung?
