When speaking of idols, the author is not referring merely to the ‘traditional’ interpretation of worshipping physical stone, but rather to any mental constructions separating the self from The Eternal Self (God). Influenced greatly by mystical thought in Islam (Sufism), other religious teachings such as messages in The Upanishads, and Kabbalah, and the works of writers and speakers including Alan Watts, Jiddu Krishnamurti, Sri Ramana Maharshi, Mary Oliver, among others, Muedini advocates for clearing human conceptions of God and the limitations and rigid dogmas that can be found at times within religions. Si je t'ai écrit ces quelques lignes, dans lesquelles je dévoile certains points qui te seront essentiels pour ton ascension vers Lui, ce n'est que par amour fraternel. Cet amour est ce qui pousse un serviteur à vouloir pour son frère ce qu'il veut pour lui-même. Dans ma quête personnelle, j'aurais aimé trouver un tel livre, à la compréhension facile et à la voie claire. C'est dans ce but qu'il a été écrit ! Ce livre est là pour t'éviter, cher frère, cher soeur, une perte de temps considérable, si toutefois tu fais partie de ceux qui aspirent à Dieu.Aspirer à Dieu, voilà une ambition plus que louable ! Voilà un projet qui vient du profond de la fitra de l'Homme. Ne pense surtout pas que tu n'es pas capable, que tu es destiné à être loin de ton Seigneur, qui Lui est pourtant plus proche de nous que notre propre veine jugulaire, comme Il l'a révélé dans son Coran sublime.Mais, s'Il est si proche, pourquoi ne pas Le connaître ? Pourquoi ne pas devenir Son intime (khalil) à la manière du Prophète Ibrahim - paix sur lui ? Tout cela t'est possible, à toi et à chacun d'entre nous, si tu suis une voie avec des étapes claires qui te mèneront à Lui. Et c'est justement le rôle de ce livre, clarifier la voie qui te donnera accès à une véritable relation avec ton Seigneur, ainsi qu'une connaissance particulière accompagnée d'un rapprochement du Prophète, prière et paix sur lui. Une fois que tu trouveras pleinement ta place parmi les rapprochés (al-mouqarraboun), ton rôle sur Terre prendra alors tout son sens, et ta réalisation spirituelle te permettra de devenir à ton tour un guide pour tout ce qui t'entoure.
