Gewers Pudewill is one of the most influential and successful contemporary German architecture firms. From their base in Berlin, founding partners Georg Gewers and Henry Pudewill are committed to a wide variety of projects: office buildings, conversions of manufacturing and commercial structures, housing, research buildings, and nursing residences for the elderly. Their designs combine functional and conceptual aspects with a highly expressive formal language. This book presents a selection of Gewers Pudewill's most exciting buildings realized since 2019, located in Berlin, Hamburg, Regensburg, Rostock, Stuttgart, and Wolfsburg. The lavishly illustrated volume features newly taken large-format photographs by the renowned German architectural photographer HG Esch, supplemented by five essays contributed by architectural publicist Ulf Meyer, who highlights the common threads in the firm's evolution and explains its philosophy.

Care work is at once omnipresent and invisible. It encompasses all forms of socially necessary - or reproductive - labor: raising children, cooking, cleaning, shopping, looking after the elderly and the ill, and many other tasks. It is what allows for and sustains productive labor (including architectural labor) in the first place. Although economic production depends on the work of social reproduction, care work is usually unpaid and pushed out of sight. It is indisputable that care work falls disproportionately upon women and unevenly along lines of race and class. Demographic changes, environmental crises, growing mobility, transformations of labor, and the reconfiguration of traditional institutions of care - from the nuclear family to welfare state provisions - have made the inequity of care a key problem in architectural debates.

Archimontage Design Fields Sophisticated: is a small atelier located in Nonthaburi, Bangkok. Founded in 2007 by Cherngchai Riawruangsangkul, it specializes in architectural design, interior design, and related fields for small and medium-sized residences in metropolitan areas.The practice is driven by discovering design alternatives and conducting interdisciplinary experiments to find new, unique and innovative design methods. Going beyond conventional techniques and solutions, the office seeks alternatives that open up unique opportunities to create a new physical and emotional experience for both the owner, society, and the observers.Archimontage's works aim to challenge, question, and examine the definition of design in its essence, both in theory and in practice.

How do you actually build a people's theater? As simple as necessary, so as not to cause any fear about entering in the audience, and as chic as possible, because theater is not only about staging on stage. This is the answer of the architectural firm Lederer, Ragnarsdóttir, Oei (Stuttgart) and the construction company Reisch (Bad Saulgau). Their Munich Volkstheater presents itself as a powerfully poetic brick building that is in dialogue with the old buildings of the former Munich cattle yard and gives the neighborhood an important cultural impulse. LRO Lederer, Ragnarsdóttir, Oei Architekten was founded in 1979 and currently employs around 50 people. Arno Lederer, born 1947, Prof., studied architecture in Stuttgart from 1970 to 1976. Worked in the architectural offices of Ernst Gisel and Berger Hauser Oed. 1979 independent architect, office partners: 1985 Jórunn Ragnarsdóttir, 1990 Marc Oei. Professor of Construction and Design at the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences, of Building Construction and Design at the University of Karlsruhe and Head of Institute for Public Building and Design at the University of Stuttgart.
