Rob lives with his family in Katoomba, New South Wales, having lived in Queensland for 17 years and the U.K. before that. This is Rob's third book - his first two books, Motivate Man and Super Scout, were also self-published. Rob studied Children's Literature as part of his Modern European Languages degree at Edinburgh University and has seen the positive impact that reading has had, first on Thomas his older son and then on Elijah. With reading often being a strength for people living with Down syndrome, producing books which contain a person with Down syndrome as the main character is a key motivating factor for Rob. Just like their YouTube channel creates awareness of Down syndrome, the Elijah and Crumpet books provide another tool to promote inclusion and to help educate early readers. Rob plays Crumpet, the puppet monkey, on the 'Elijah and Crumpet' YouTube channel, which he created in 2018 with his son Elijah. With the aim of showing the world how good life with Down syndrome can be, Elijah and Crumpet now have a worldwide following. Their motto is: 'Entertain. Educate. Inspire.' They show that anything is possible with the right motivation, like becoming famous YouTubers, getting on national television and now writing kid's books.
