When the students of Oakmont Regional High School in rural Massachusetts staged Peter Pan as their 2018 musical, they looked to soar just like Mary Martin. Over the span of eighteen months, the cast—along with their classmates, teachers, parents, and neighbors—learned to fly in the most unexpected ways. Flight School tells the inspiring journey of this community brought together by a century-old story and the financial, technical, and social challenges these students overcame in their dramatic voyage to Neverland. Jeffrey William Aubuchon returned to Oakmont Regional High School in 2011, thirteen years after graduating. Beyond directing theatre and teaching history, he advises the student group apush4peace that raises thousands of dollars for Peace Corps projects worldwide. When not enjoying the forests of Massachusetts, he wanders among the Joshua trees of California's Mojave Desert. He studied in the liberal arts tradition with the Benedictine monks and faculty of Saint Anselm College, where he graduated magna cum laude, and later earned a master's degree from the creative writing faculty at Harvard University.
