Mirjana Gligorevic (pronounced Mir-yana) is an author and disability advocate, born in war whose life journey defies expectations. Starting with cerebral palsy and later diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at age 15, she has faced significant challenges from an early age. Mirjana often found her potential overlooked due to her medical conditions, leaving her marginalized by much of society.At 23, she broke free from the limitations imposed on her-not just by society, but by circumstance-when she embarked on her first solo trip. That moment marked a turning point, igniting a passion for travel that has since become both a personal liberation, a sign of living life to the fullest (like many other travelers would agree) and a powerful advocacy platform. Each journey is not just a destination reached, but a statement: that people with disabilities deserve autonomy, adventure, and full inclusion.Therefore, Mirjana still continues to be a passionate voice for both travel and disability rights, proving through her life and work that adversity can be a launchpad-not a limitation.
