Using their problem solving skills, the kids follow the trail from Kuta Beach to Tanah Lot Temple, Ubud and finally Mt Batur volcano.The Adamson family are set for a surfing holiday in Bali they'll never forget. Dad wants to surf all day and Mum wants to shop. Eldest sibling, Zac, is eager to explore a sunken WW2 shipwreck. Youngest sibling, Luke, is keen to cause mischief wherever he goes. Clare, the long suffering middle child, just wants to stay out of trouble. While building sandcastles on Kuta Beach, the siblings unearth a surprising find that dramatically changes their holiday. Curiosity leads them on a dangerous path to an adventure where difficulties lurk around every corner. Secrets Hidden Below takes the reader on an intriguing treasure hunt around an exotic tropical island that includes plenty of rotten-egg gas, a guardian snake and a volcano spirit you definitely don not want to anger. Sandra Bennett is the author of the thrilling middle-grade Adamson Adventure Series. Book One, Secrets Hidden Below, was Shortlisted in the Speech Pathology Book of the Year Awards 2019. Fossil Frenzy, book 3, was a shortlisted winner in the Queensland Writers Centre Adaptable Competition 2020, and had the opportunity to pitch the manuscript to film producers. In previous years Sandra has independently published two picture books and two early readers. She has had seven short stories published in five anthologies. Her story, Cyclone Kayla, was written to become a graphic novel for the non-for-profit organisation, Library For All in 2020.. As a former Primary School teacher, Sandra enjoys author school visits for talks, readings and writing workshops. Sandra has presented at CBCA Canberra branch and the Canberra Writer's Festival 2019. Understanding the importance of hooking readers to help them develop a love of reading from an early age, is paramount to Sandra's passion for writing.
