Spectral Ontology and Being-in-the-World
This book examines the concept of humanness and the ontological grounding it requires. A new ontological model, spectral ontology, is proposed, in which Being is treated as a spectrum consisting of beings (relational entities), nonbeings (nonrelational entities), and hyperbeings (extended-relational entities). It is the nonbeings, or spectricities, that force us to rethink humanness.
