In der Marionetten-Arbeitsgemeinschaft hat Eilert Obernolte zahlreiche Schülergenerationen mit seiner Begeisterung für das Puppenspiel angesteckt. Die vorliegende Sammlung verewigt viele der in dieser Zeit entstandenen Marionetten und Stücke. Sie ist eine Erinnerung an eine wunderbare Jugend und Schulzeit am Verdener Domgymnasium. Zugleich erinnert sie auch an den Lehrer, Mentor und Freund Eilert Obernolte.
